Work History & Special Interests

Over the past 16 years Madeline has worked predominantly with children, young people and families, alongside individual support with adults. Madeline has worked for the past several years with vulnerable and traumatised children/adolescents and their parents/caregivers. Throughout this time she has trained in and practiced Dr. Bruce Perry’s Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics and refined her trauma-informed approach. This work has grown a passion for the neuroscience that underpins relationships, healing and the sequence of interventions. Madeline has also completed further training in EMDR (Eye Movement Sensitisation and Reprocessing) to support effective recovery from trauma.

Madeline has also recently completed training in Child Parent Psychotherapy (CPP) a therapy for young children from birth through to five years of age and their caregivers, who have experienced stressful or traumatic events.

Madeline has a special interest and experience in treating anxiety, trauma, adjusting to parenthood and child/parent relational difficulties. In particular, she is skilled at helping individuals to explore and manage unresolved experiences from the past that create unhelpful repetitions or patterns in their current lives.
