Qualifications & Affiliations

Renae is an AHPRA registered Provisional Psychologist and is completing a Master of Clinical Psychology. She also holds a Bachelor of Psychology (Honours). Renae is a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS) and the International Association for Relational Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy (IARPP).

Renae’s Approach

Renae’s approach is primarily informed by the principles of Psychodynamic therapy. She views people as complex wholes, and therapy as a collaborative partnership. She facilitates a reflective space where clients can explore and understand how internal emotional processes, early relationships, and current environmental factors interact to shape present challenges, patterns, and choices, aiming for not only symptom relief but deep and lasting change. Her therapeutic style is warm, client-centred, and purposeful.

Work History & Special Interests

Renae has experience working with people across the lifespan and a diversity of mental health challenges. She has provided psychotherapy to adults and adolescents experiencing depression, anxiety, PTSD, neurodivergence, disordered eating, relational difficulties, childhood trauma, and addictions. She has also conducted cognitive assessments and neurodiversity screening with children, adolescents, and adults. Before commencing her master’s training, Renae spent several years counselling adults with complex clinical presentations in their homes and local communities.

Renae has a particular interest in attachment, trauma, interpersonal/relationship difficulties, depression including treatment-resistant depression, anxiety, and experiences of loss.
